Hooper Road Bridge Over Route 17C Remains Closed
It's easy to miss news like this unless you travel the route every day- otherwise we generally don't realize what's going on until we try to use a route under construction and find ourselves facing a major headache.
The Hooper Road Bridge over Route 17C is closed to traffic until Tuesday, September 23 at 5pm, weather permitting.
If you're wondering how to get around it, detour signs will be posted. The detour routes will include Watson Boulevard in the Town of Union, Harry L. Drive in Johnson City, Route 201 South and Route 17C East and West.
The Broome Sheriff's Office asks that you please plan accordingly and use alternate routes. Please keep in mind the speed limits and heavier traffic on the alternate routes into Endwell as well.
