Speaking of turkey, you've heard the expression that there is more than one way to skin a cat, Well, it also tur that there is more than one way to cook a turkey.

Here are some of the different and frankly odd way to cook the Tom:

Deep-fried in lard. Vegetable oil is ok, but have you ever had french fries cooked in lard? Lard makes pigskin taste really good, so think about what it can do to the turkey skin. Go here if you want to cook it the lard way.

Plastic oven bag. It sounds made up, but it's real. You bake the turkey inside a heatproof plastic bag to keep in the juices. I would try this method but probably only once. They say that this is the easiest way to cook a Thanksgiving turkey, go here to find out for yourself.

Turducken. Chicken wrapped in a duck wrapped in a turkey. It's your chance to enjoy the dryness of chicken and turkey and the succulent taste of duck. Who came up with this idea? Here's the recipe if you are adventurous.

If you try any of these ideas, let me know how it worked out for you. I think I'll stick to the old fashion way...Going to my Mom's.
