The Inside Scoop:

In addition to being a long-time 98.1 The Hawk listener (bonus points!), Frank has hit the ground running in his country music career. He released his first CD 'Over, Over You' in 2010 and has toured in both Vestal, NY and Pittsburgh, PA. He's currently on tour around Pittsburgh and is working on writing more songs. That's not a shabby resume for musical newcomer! From his website:

It's hard to tell whether Frank Vieira found country music, or whether country found him, but there's no denying it's a perfect fit. Born on Valentine's Day, 1990, in Schenectady, N.Y., Frank has put his heart into everything he's ever done.

As he climbs his way up the country music ladder, you can hear the passion in his voice and see it in his face when he performs, from the heartfelt, "Son," to the everyman anthem, "Beer Leaguer."

Frank is now a student of the country music genre. He's seen Eric Church, Dierks Bentley, Luke Bryan, and 'pretty much every male country artist on tour,' in his ongoing journey to define his sound and reach his audience through music.

To the country music skeptic:

Listen to it. The songwriting. The majority of good country songs have a good story.

To potential voters:

I’m a regular guy from Vestal, NY. A lot of who I am is put into the songs that I write. Songwriting is one of the most important parts of the genre and I hope you guys appreciate that aspect of what I bring to the table. Thank you for listening.
