It seems like only yesterday the Hawk Food-A-Bago pulled away from Weis Market on Upper Front Street in Binghamton in time to stock the CHOW Food Pantry shelves in time for the holidays.  Now the Food Bank of the Southern Tier is holding its' annual Hunger fundraiser at various Southern Tier grocery stores.

According to the press release, shoppers "can purchase $2, $3 or $5 coupons that will to go toward buying food for food banks, the child back pack program, the Mobile Food Pantry, and meals at soup kitchens and other community-based programs.

Last year's fundraiser raised about $268,000 and is by far the agency's largest fundraising events.

To participate, area shoppers add the contribution at the grocery store checkout line.
