If you're like me, you might have thought that the first Ethnic Festival of the season is the Greek Fest in Vestal or St. Joe's in Endicott.  Not so.  That pretty church on Clinton Street, Binghamton, Holy Spirit Byzantine Catholic Church is having their big Ethnic Festival Sunday May 4th from Noon-6pm at the church at 360 Clinton Street.

I grew up on Eastern European food so you know I will be there.  The menu includes all my favorites including homemade Holubky, Pirohy, Halushky, and out of this world, Kolbasa.  Hog dogs, pizza and soda will also be served.  And what church picnic wouldn't be complete without beer and baked goods.  According to the church Facebook page, there will also be lie entertainment, raffles, and even games for the kids.

As a big festival goer, I can tell you that it takes a lot of volunteers to make these festivals successful and Holy Spirit does a great job.  Come out for a good time this Sunday afternoon and enjoy some good ethnic cooking.  Admission and parking is free.
