We are fortunate to be rich in arts and entertainment, always a short drive away and perfect for a date night or a family night out.  This weekend features a variety of plays and a music show in Johnson City.

Here's what caught my eye for this week:

"An Ideal Husband," by Oscar Wilde is a comedy/drama treasured classic that dates back to 1895, FREE (with donation accepted) at the Franklin Stage Company Chapel Hall located at 25 Institute Street in Franklin.  Plays June 25 and 27th at 8pm, June 28th at 5pm, July 2 and 3 at 8pm, July 4th at 2pm and July 5th at 5pm.

"Thoroughly Modern Millie" wraps up its' successful run at the wonderful Cider Mill Palyhouse at 2 South Nanticoke Avenue in Endicott with shows through this weekend: Thursday-Saturday at 7:30pm and Sunday at 3pm. Set in New York City in 1922, this high-spirited, zany new musical romp that had all of New York dancing the Charleston and took Broadway by storm.

"The Snow Queen" is part of the EPAC Classic Fairy Tales series at Endicott Performing Arts Center, 102 Washington Avenue in Endicott, with shows Friday and Saturday at 8pm and Sunday at 3pm.

Supersonic Strings featuring John Covelli is Sunday 2-3:30pm at the Schorr Family Firehouse Stage at 46 Willow Street in Johnson City.  $25 for adults and $20 for students and seniors.
