Do You Remember Your First Favorite Toy?

Christmas is on the way in just a few days. We'll all be shopping for the latest toys for our kids. BUT! Do you remember your first toy? I do! The picture shows an example of it on an active eBay Auction. I believe my parents told me at one time or another that mine was purchased at Grants, which was a department store that is now out of business. My version of this stuffed animal had spots. I named him Puppy Puddles! Apparently I had a problem playing in water filled mud holes as a child.

I kept this toy for years and when it actually started to just fall apart my mother, who was handy with crochet hooks, made it a sweater. Basically to hold it together. As far as I can recollect all of my "first" toys were my favorite. My first stuffed dog, bike, my Atari 7800 and Lincoln Logs were all my favorites. I've bought new video game systems and bikes ect. since then, but those first ones were by far the best!
