‘Darius Rucker’ To Become Newest Member Of The Grand Ole Opry

First he rocks the Brewwery Ommegang in Cooperstown then a week and half later,  he's a member of the Grand Ole Opry .  Coincidence,  I don't think so......ok I think so.

Congratulations to Darius Rucker,  he's going to be the next member of the Grand Ole Opry.  He was performing at the Opry on Tuesday night,  when he was done performing Brad Paisley came to the stage (wonder if he thought, what in the name of  Kayne West is going on here.). Brad asked him if he would like to be the newest member of the Opry.  He said "Wow, are you kidding me?  Oh, yes I would."

Darius said that the biggest surprise of all,  is that everyone in his life knew about it but no one said anything and everyone was there and he never saw any of them. He'll be inducted Hawktober 16th.  He'll be the  first African American artist to join since Charley Pride in 1993.  He has a new CD coming out next year and the first single is called "True Believers."  You can hear it on 98.1 the Hawk and buy the song on ITunes.  Congratulations Darius and welcome to the Country Club that is country.
