If you drive a Jeep SUV you might want to keep your eye on your mailbox.  Chrysler has  announced the recall of 745,000 Jeep SUVs to repair an issue that could possibly cause the airbags to deploy when they're not supposed to.

According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, this recall affects 2002-, 2003- and 2004-model Jeep Grand Cherokee and 2002 and 2003 Liberty SUVs.

Chrysler learned about this problem because people were complaining that their airbags were going off when they shouldn’t be. After looking into it, Chrysler found 215 cases where the airbag involuntarily deployed, leading to 81 minor injuries.

Chrysler says they plan to install a supplemental jumper harness to the airbag control module free of charge to you if you own an affected vehicle starting in January.
