After more than six weeks on the run, suspected cop killer Eric Frein has been captured and is in custody. 

According to ABC News,a resident of Barett Township in Pennsylvania tipped off authorities to a possible sighting of Frein. That tip is believed to have led to his capture.

Frein opened fire outside the Blooming Grove state police barraacks on September 12th. As a result, Trooper Bryon Dickson was killed and Trooper Alex Douglass was wounded.

Additional details of Frein's arrest have not been made public.
