Breaking News: 269 WalMart Stores Closing

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]According to Patch.com, 269 WalMart stores are closing worldwide, including 154 in the United States.  That means about 16,000 workers globally, including 10,000 in the US will be looking for jobs or hopefully be relocated to stores that remain open. Most of the stores being closed are WalMart Express stores.

While a majority of the stores being closed are in the South or Midwest, WalMart officials are quick to point out that they plan to open more than 300 stores worldwide next year.
