It's been a rough road trip for the Rumble Ponies having lost four of their previous five matchups. After getting blanked on August 23, Binghamton was looking for a spark on August 24 to drive the team towards success.

It was a hot start for the Rumble Ponies in the opening inning. Andres Gimenez homered to left field, scoring Quinn Brodey and gave Binghamton the early 2-0 lead after one.

In the bottom of the second, Andres Sotillo singled on a soft line drive to left field to bring in Kevin Smith. Soon after Brock Lundquist grounded out to second allowing Riley Adams to run home. It was tied at two after two.

A few scoreless innings later, the Rumble Ponies broke the scoring drought in the top of the eighth. Austin Bossart doubled on a fly ball to center field that brought in both Edgardo Fermin and Patrick Mazeika. Binghamton led 4-2 after eight.

The Fisher Cats tried to make a comeback, but the defense was able to close out strong and secure the win for the Rumble Ponies by a final score of 4-2. Binghamton improves to 62-68 overall. They will look to make it a two-game win streak as the final game of the series is scheduled for a 1:35 P.M start time on August 25.
