Blonde Hair or Brown Hair?

I just can't make up my mind.  I started dyeing my hair blonde several years ago because I noticed the gray hair really starting to peek through my natural brown color and it was getting too expensive to continually go to the salon to cover up the gray.  It's getting really expensive and time consuming to maintain the blonde, although I'm partial to it.  I just don't know what to do.  Do I go back to brown and attempt to use at home color kits to cover up the gray or do I stay blonde and just live with my roots showing when I'm not able to get to the salon to have my highlights touched up? Help!
