Today's edition of Glenn's Nashville News (GNN) is about Blake Shelton. Why? Here's why.

He's celebrating a milestone birthday this weekend. He turns 40 on June 18th.

2016 has been quite a year for Blake. It's been filled with it's ups and downs. He divorced Miranda and started up a new relationship with Gwen. He voiced a character named Earl for the #1 movie "Angry Birds."

His new album "If I'm Honest" was the #1 Album Sales and Country Album chart. It sold over 153,000 copies the first week out.  His first song from the CD "Came Here to Forget" was his 17th consecutive and his 22nd overall #1 hit.

He even has an exhibit at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in Nashville. One of the items contains the first song that he ever wrote. That doesn't seem all that special until you hear the story about it.

It was inspired by a girl..no surprise there. However it also involved something else. What else? Here it now on GNN. I'll tell you this, I'm glad to hear that this happened to someone like Blake Shelton and not just me.

By the way the exhibit is open until November. Happy Birthday, Blake.
