Binghamton University To Host Late Nite Madness On Friday

It's that time,  let's get March Madness started Hawktober 12th.  The men's and women's basketball season gets underway Friday night  9pm at the Event Center.  Your chance to see first year men's head coach, Tommy Dempsey and women's head coach, Nicole Scholl. Some of the highlights include: First 2,000 fans get a free T-shirt, Slam Dunk Contest and the "Freshman 15" contest.  The doors open at 8:30 and the festivities begin at 9 and the event is free.

The BU basketball program has been doing Late Nite Madness since 1999 and at the Event Center since 2005. The Men's first game is November 3rd against Susquehanna in an exhibiton and against Brown on November 11th.  The Women's first game is an exhibition against Mansfield on November 6th and against November 14th against Cornell.  To see complete schedule for all sporting events, go to www.bubearcats.com.

The Hawk will be on hand Sunday November 11th for the Men (2pm) and Wednesday the 14th for the Women(7pm).  We'll also be on hand Tuesday November 27th for the Women and Saturday December 1st for the Men.  Get ready for a new era in Men's basketball and more exciting action with Women's basketball.  We'll see you at the Events Center and Let's Go Bearcats.
