Binghamton came out on top on August 30 against Hartford winning by a final score of 4-2. For their next matchup on August 31, the Rumble Ponies looked to keep that same energy in hopes of reproducing the same level of success.

After three scoreless innings, the Rumble Ponies notched a pair of runs in the bottom of the fourth. Michael Paez reached on a pitching error that scored Jeremy Vasquez. Later, Austin Bossart flew one out to right field that brought home David Thompson. Binghamton had a 2-0 lead after four innings of play.

The Rumble Ponies would increase their lead in the bottom of the seventh. Edgardo Fermin tripled on a line drive to center field allowing Cody Bohanek to arrive home safely. Luis Carpio followed with an RBI single to send in Fermin. Binghamton was on top 4-0 after seven.

The Yard Goats finally got on the board in the top of the eighth. Vance Vizcaino hit a solo home-run to make it a 4-1 ballgame. Unfortunately for Hartford, that was all they would be able to muster. Binghamton was triumphant in back to back games as they won by a final score of 4-1.

This win has Binghamton sitting at 66-72 overall. Two games remaining in the 2019 season with the third game of the four-game series being held on September 1 from NYSEG Stadium. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:35 P.M.
