The Fightin Phils score 4 runs before the B-Mets even had a chance to bat and they never looked back. Reading take the opener 9-4 and snap Binghamton's 5 game post-season win streak.

They look to get back into the series tonight at NYSEG Stadium on Firework Night.

The game was delayed 54 minutes because of impending inclement weather. That may have thrown off Pitcher Tyler Pill who had his 25-game unbeaten streak as a B-Met stopped.

Reading had 18 hits last night. It was the most hits the B-Mets have given up since May 3rd. The last time Binghamton won a playoff series after losing Game 1 came in 1994 when they beat the Harrisburg Senators in the Eastern League Championship Series.

Game 2 is tonight on Thirsty Thursday Firework Night. 1st pitch is at 6:35 then stick around after the game and celebrate a Met victory with Fireworks.

If you missed it yesterday, Binghamton Met President and Co-Owner Michael Urda is stopping rumors that the team will leave Binghamton after next season. The team will be here next year and beyond.

There had been rumors that a prospective new owner would move the operation from Binghamton to Delaware for the 2017 season.

Urda said that the New York Mets are happy with Binghamton. Binghamton has a working agreement with the New York Mets through the 2020 season.

Let's go Mets, as they turn it around tonight!

That's not all that's going on at NYSEG Stadium.  Don't forget that the Harvest Festival is coming on Saturday, September 19th. It's less then 2 weeks away.
