Broome County will be auctioning off tax foreclosure properties on November 15th.

One building, that was the scene of a tour of prospective bidders, was the old Masonic Temple on Main Street, Binghamton which is expected to need from $500,000 to over $1 million in renovations to become useable.

The building, which had been the early home to the Tri Cities Opera, was built in 1922 but has been vacant for decades.

There had been a plan in 2000 to develop the building into student or senior housing, but those plans fell through.

There are more than 100 properties that will be available at the auction.

The sale will be at The Holiday Inn on Hawley Street in Downtown Binghamton.

Bidders must register in advance of the 10 a.m. auction.
