On March 22nd, Ed Ulfik, a medic at Chenango Ambulance, member of the Oxford Police Department, and a paramedic student at STPP suffered from a pulmonary embolism and subsequent cardiac arrest. Ed is now in a coma and on life support at Lourdes.

Ed’s prognosis is unknown and he is still critical and in unstable condition. Ed doesn’t have insurance and medical expenses are beginning to stack.

To help Ed with medical bills as he fights for his life, there will be a benefit for at Chenango Fire Company on April 5th from 12pm-6:30pm. The cost will be $7 per plate and take out will be made available. Cost will include a serving of spaghetti, one dessert, soda or water, coffee, salad, and bread.

Please help spread the word. For someone who's served our communities and has helped save lives, keeping Ed in our prayers and helping offset his medical bills really is the least we can do.
