The Binghamton Bearcats men's soccer team has advanced to the America East Championship with a 1-0 victory over the Albany Great Danes last night in Albany.  The semi-final victory avenges an Albany 3-1 win in regular season play.  BU travels to Burlington, Vermont to meet the Catamounts Sunday at noon for the America East title and an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.  Vermont defeated UMBC 2-1 in overtime to advance to the final round.

Logan Roberts scored the game-winning tally in the 80th minute last night to give the Bearcats the win.  Harrison Weilbacher set up the play with a free kick.  Midfielder Tucker Sandercock got the ball to Roberts who was positioned in front of the net.  He buried the shot for his third goal of the season.

Robert Moewes made seven saves and earned his sixth solo shutout of the season.  In the regular season Binghamton beat Vermont 2-1 in Burlington on October 3rd.
