B-Mets Back in Town
After a week-long road trip the Binghamton Mets are back in town to begin a seven-game homestand. The B-Mets host the Erie Seawolves tonight at 6:35 (air at 6:20) on News Radio 1290 WNBF. Erie stays in town through Sunday in a four-game series. Then the Portland Sea Dogs visit for three in a row.
Last night Binghamton's Robert Gsellman and Akron's Michael Peoples had quite a pitching duel that lasted into the sixth inning. The contest ended up tied at 2-2 at the end of nine innings. The RubberDucks won it in the tenth inning when Akron's Nellie Rodriguez hit a sacrifice fly that drove in the game-winning tally.
Tonight (Thursday) Andrew Barbosa gets the start for the B-Mets against Erie's Brennan Smith. The B-Mets are 5-6 while the Seawolves are 5-8.
