'80s actress Amanda Peterson has died at the age of 43. She's best known for her co starring role in "Can't Buy Me Love" with Patrick Dempsey in 1987.

She was also in the 1985 Sci-Fi movie "Explorers" with River Phoenix and Ethan Hawke, as well as the miniseries "A Year in the Life" in the late '80s.

She didn't do much acting outside of that, and left the industry altogether in 1994.

An exact cause of death hasn't been released. Her body was discovered in her Colorado home on Sunday, after her family hadn't heard from her in two days.

She had been dealing with several medical issues over the past couple of years, ailments such as pneumonia, sinusitis and sleep apnea. Her father also said she'd been living in a home with mold issues, but had moved out about a year ago.
