I... am not a morning person, but I have to be. So I figured I'd share with you some of the things I do to get my butt outta the house when I need to.

MAIN TIP: Studies have proven you are not your best unless you've gotten at least 7 hours of shut-eye. You may be able to function on 4-5 but its not gonna be great.

First. have a SUPER LOUD ALARM. I'm slightly hearing deficient after so many years next to loud speakers and on those nights when I just crash the loud alarm makes a hasty wake up.

Number two... Just GET UP! Whoever you are that invented the snooze button... you are the reason all of America and some foreign countries are late to work!

Then if you work out... do it before breakfast. I don't really know why but friends have told me that it works better. Something about kickstarting your metabolism before you dump food in your tummy.

Next, have you clothes set out the night before or you'll be rummaging around tired trying to make yourself look presentable. Do the same with your breakfast. Get it in arms reach. have the coffee pot set to automatically jam that coffee out.

Lat but not least, and always the hardest to figure out... Give yourself about 10 extra minutes to commute to work. what if traffic is backed up? You woke up to a Polar-Vortex ice storm, or you get stuck behind a super slow driver?
