20 Southern Tier Veterans Day Meals and Discount Deals

The 2013 list of restaurants, eateries and retailers honoring well-deserved Southern Tier veterans and active service men and women is growing every year and this year, there are more choices than ever.

It's always a good idea to check ahead to make sure the location you plan to visit is a participating location.  Another important thing to remember that these deals require you to show proof of your military service.

Here is an up-to-date roundup of the participating restaurants and their offers:

Applebees Free Meal
On Monday, November 11th, veterans and active duty military can choose from a free signature Thank You Meal menu that includes some of Applebee’s favorite items.  Must present valid Veteran’s form of identification or be in uniform.

Denny’s All You Can Eat Pancakes
All active, inactive and retired military personnel, from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 11th and at all participating Denny’s restaurants nationwide, diners with a valid military ID will receive free all-you-can-eat pancakes.

Friendly’s Free Breakfast and Coffee
Get a free Big Two Do Breakfast and coffee on Veteran’s Day, 11/11/2013.

Krispy Kreme Free Doughnut & Coffee
Offering a free doughnut and coffee to all those served or currently are serving. Proof of military service required or those in uniform. Only at participating locations.

Little Caesars Free Crazy Bread
All United States armed forces veterans and active military members get a free order of Crazy Bread with proof of military status at participating stores nationwide this Veterans Day, 11/11/13.

Olive Garden Free Meal
All veterans and military active duty will receive a free meal from a special menu on Veterans Day. Also, all November current military service members and their families get 10% off in honor of Military Appreciation Month.

Outback Steakhouse Free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage
Military personnel and veterans get a Free Bloomin’ Onion and a beverage. Must have valid identification. Plus, get 10% off all meals from Nov. 12 through Dec. 31.

Red Lobster Free App & drink
From Nov. 11 – Nov. 14, service members receive a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcohol beverage. Includes veterans and current service members.

Starbucks Free Coffee
This Veterans Day veterans, active duty military and their spouses get a free tall brewed coffee at participating U.S. company-owned stores.

Texas Roadhouse Free Lunch
Select from a free special veterans lunch menu including a beverage and sides no November 11th, 2013.

TGI Fridays Free Lunch
Veterans and active duty military service members are invited have lunch on T.G.I Friday’s this Veterans Day, Monday, November 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Travel Centers of America Free Meal
On Veterans Day, November 11, all CDL drivers who are Military Veterans eat FREE at participating full-service restaurants with proof of service. Must present valid ID.

Uno’s free entrée or pizza with a purchase
Get a free entrée or individual pizza with an entrée or pizza purchase or equal or greater value and with a military or veterans ID on 11/11/13.

Amazon.com: Free MP3 album download. The free downloadable album “Veterans Day Honor” includes 12 songs as performed by the military bands and ensembles of the U.S. Armed Forces. Big Lots: 10 percent off your entire purchase.

Cabela’s: Standard employee discount to all veterans, active duty military, Guard/Reserves, law enforcement, fire and EMS personnel on November 10-11. Discount varies from 5 percent to 20 percent, depending on the item.

Dollar General: 10 percent discount on entire purchase on Veteran’s Day. Offer good for all active-duty military, retirees, veterans, Guard/Reserve, and immediate family members. Car Wash: Thousands of car washes around the country are offering veterans a free car wash on Veterans Day.  Check to see if your favorite car wash is participating.
