When I was 11, I grabbed a sheet off the bed and tried to parachute off the porch. The jump went fine...the landing not so much. So what did 11 year old Mackenzie Marsh from Candor do?

She became the youngest female winner ever in the 65 year history at 5 Mile Point Speedway.

Her win came in the Slingshot division. She took the lead at the start. "Punkie" as the side of her car says, would lead the entire race for her 1st victory.

She's the 2nd female to win a feature event this year. Emily VanInwegan won in the CRSA Sprint Cart Tour event. She's the 1st ever female Sprint Cup winner at 5 Mile Point.

Also of note, 13 year old Marty Kelly, III whose family comes from Vermont every Saturday to race at Five Mile Point Speedway has 2 Slingshot division wins this year as well.

Finally, Tanner Harpell, the great grandson of track founders Anna and Irving Heath got his 1st ever Sportsman victory in his rookie season.

Congratulations to Mackenzie, Marty and Tanner. KEEP ON RACING!
