Your Attitude Impacts Your Life More Than Your IQ
Remember when you were a kid and your parents told you that you could be anything you set your mind to be? They were on to something.
We all know people who hustle, get the job done and reap the rewards- I’m especially thinking of people who sell products through home-based businesses. So many of those people don’t have the college education the world thinks they should have, but they have guts and determination and that’s what keeps them afloat and successful.
For most of our lives, we’ve been told that if we want to get anywhere in the world, we need to be the smartest, that we need to have to most degrees. That's not necessarily true
According to Business Insider, researchers say that it's our attitude that best predicts our success in life more-so than our brains. Psychologist Carol Dweck, says that each of us has one of two attitudes: “a fixed mindset or a growth mindset.”
People who have a fixed mindset genuinely believe that they are who they are and there’s no changing, which makes it feel like slamming their heads into a brick wall when they’re faced with challenges and changes.
On the other hand, people who have a growth mindset believe in change- within themselves, others, and in situations. Those with a growth mindset embrace change regardless of their IQ.
What sort of mindset do you have? Now that you know a growth mindset could mean better chances in life, will you work on embracing that way of thinking?
