Pennsylvania State Police are investigating the death of a woman in a bizarre crash that happened while she was on an inoperable all-terrain-vehicle.

Troopers say 43-year-old Penny Fink was on the ATV that was being towed by a Ford Focus at 1:36 p.m. on March 19 on Wickizer Road between Kingsley Road and Main Street in Brooklyn Township.

Authorities say the ATV gained speed on a decline and entered the northbound lane, passing the tow vehicle.  As it passed, the tow chain became disconnected and the ATV continued rolling downhill.  The right front tire broke causing the ATV to stop abruptly and Fink was thrown from the vehicle, hitting her head on the pavement.
