Grand Master G Is Back With the Globetrotters Tonight

The Harlem Globetrotters are coming back to the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena on Thursday, April 4th. I'm happy to report that it'll mark the return of Grand Master G FOR ONE NIGHT ONLY.

The Globetrotters are known as great basketball players with cool nicknames...Names like Meadowlark, Curly and Twiggy. Last year, a so-so basketball player with a nickname so uncool that his daughter was ashamed, helped the Globetrotters to victory.

I took to the court and shocked them with my lack of ability. I missed a four pointer, then a three pointer followed by a missed free throw until finally converting on a lay-up...on my third shot.

In my mind, I envisioned burying a half court shot with the Globetrotters hoisting me on their shoulders with the crowd going WILD! In reality, it was a 2 foot shot with my head hung low.

They said that I had talent like no other but I don't think they meant it in a good way. It was fun and I can't wait to join them again this year as Grand Master G.

Zeus from the Harlem Globetrotters stopped in and talked about their upcoming appearance and what we can look forward too. I'm at the ready, he just needs to say the word...that word would be...DESPERATION.
