Who Will Replace Jon Stewart on ‘The Daily Show?’

Fans are speaking out on the news of Jon Stewart’s retirement from 'The Daily Show.'

Although Stewart' comedic spin on newsworthy material will be missed, the show’s dedicated fan base has started petitioning for the Comedy Central’s show next act. Speculations range from Amy Poehler to Samantha Bee and even include E’s very own, Joel McHale. So what can we tell you about some of the rumored potential hosts?

Amy Poehler: Parks and Recreation is coming to an end. Could it time out perfectly for her to take over?  Advantage: Witty from her time on Saturday Night Live.

Samantha Bee: Correspondent for The Daily Show. Advantage: Has an in with the Comedy Central show.

Joel McHale: Host of The Soup. Could he take over with two networks and two hosting jobs? Advantage: Has hosted his own show before.

It'll be interesting to see if any of these rumored replacements actually do take over, but there's lots of time for Comedy Central to make a decision because Jon Stewart won't bid The Daily Show farewell until the end of the year.
