Do You Remember This Legendary Endicott Restaurant And Where Are They Now?

Recently I was in the Endicott area and I was checking out the new Byrne Dairy and its free air in Endwell. After I left, I went by the old Brothers 2 restaurant and realized that it has been 6 years since they closed.

I can't believe that it's been six years already. In early 2017, we heard the sad news that after 50 years, that Brothers 2 restaurant was going to have last call for the final time. This restaurant had given us fantastic food and memories and it was 6 years ago this weekend that they held their "official send off" celebration.

Domenic and Luigi Fata started the business together in 1970 when they bought Masi's Restaurant on Watson Boulevard in Endwell. The brothers ran the restaurant together (thus the name)  until the final few years when Domenic ran the restaurant.

What Happened To Brothers 2 In Endwell?

Domenic decided to sell the place in February, 2017. The Anastos family (who also owns the Broadway Diner) bought it from Domenic and his wife, Mary. They turned it into "The Riverdale" banquet hall.

I've had the chance to meet Dom and he's enjoying retirement. He and his wife are doing well with their chickens, which really come in handy with the price of eggs. He still carries his chestnuts with him and if he gives you one then you are special...I haven't reached chestnut status yet.

Memories From Brothers 2 In Endwell

I miss many things about Brothers 2 including their all-you-can-eat spaghetti on Mondays while watching hockey on their TV. The loved kids loved their food and Bubble Hockey in the game room.

When my dad, Carl retired from Colombia Gas, he had his retirement party at Brothers 2. I was a Wedding DJ for many years and whenever I was at Brothers 2, I knew that the reception would go well.

There can be many moving parts at a wedding reception but I knew that it would go smoothly when the party was at Brothers 2. They were well-organized, accommodating and very professional at what they did.

Ask anyone that's gone to Brothers 2 (2901 Watson Blvd in Endwell) more then once and they'll have a story to tell along with some fine food eat. What is your memories of Brothers 2?
