What Does It Means To Be a Partner in Hope?
It's the third year for the 98.1 the Hawk's "Our Country Cares for Kids" Radiothon for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. For the third straight year, I've become a Partner in Hope and maybe you're wondering, "What does that mean?"
It's simple, for only $20 a month, you can make a difference in kids and their families' lives. You can help a child with cancer to get chemotherapy or help provide a blood transfusion for a child.
They do so much for the children but they don't forget their families and the effect it has on them. No family ever gets a bill for their care, St. Jude believes that the only thing the family should worry about is helping their child during this difficult time.
St. Jude does everything they can to bring normalcy for everyone involved. If they can't make it to their prom or graduation, they'll do everything they can to put it on at the hospital.
One of my favorite parts is when a child is completely done with their chemotherapy. The outstanding staff at St. Jude throws a party and everyone sing's the "No More Chemo" song.
We hope that you'll have a chance to tune into 98.1 the Hawk for these two days (February 6h and February 7th) as we share the inspiring stories of hope. Hear the uplifting and sometimes sad.
Join me and become a Partner in Hope too.
