Walmart Will Unleash 24/7 Pet Telehealth to New Yorkers Later This Year
Do you have some pets in your home? Here is some pawsome news for pet parents in New York! Walmart+ has teamed up with Pawp (a digital health clinic) to introduce a pet telehealth benefit for its members.
This service will give you unlimited virtual access to veterinary professionals, no matter where you are at, and with no extra cost for Walmart+ members. There is a small fee for people who want this service but aren't Walmart+ members.
So, what can you get from Pawp? You'll receive expert veterinary support through on-demand virtual visits and personal care plans to find out your pets' immediate and long-term needs. Pawp began as a limited-time offer but was so popular that it is now a full-time membership benefit.
Walmart+ hopes to start this new pet telehealth benefit later this year, giving pet owners peace of mind. You can connect with veterinary professionals by text or video for unlimited on-demand virtual visits. Their team is made up of veterinarians and licensed veterinary technicians with at least five years' clinical experience.
Marc Atiyeh is the CEO of Pawp, and he said that partnering with Walmart+ has let them realize their dream of making pet care available to more people. We see people on social media asking where they can take their pets at night or on the weekends for emergency pet care during those hours.
You would need to do some more research but if you have pets and are worried about not being able to have them see by a vet during non-business hours, Pawp might be something to think about.
