The district has released a statement saying it has become aware of a post on Facebook that shows what looks like text on the Vestal School website that is inappropriate.  The district says someone lifted an image on the website and altered it to produce the offending message.

Vestal officials say they believe the post originated as a Snapchat hoax.

The school’s IT Department is trying to find out where the image came from and wants residents to be clear the image being circulated has been altered.

Anyone with information is being asked to call the Vestal Superintendent’s office at (607) 757-2241.
