The United Way of Broome County does so much for our community and here's your chance to help them out. It's their annual "Day of Caring" volunteer event on September 13th and 14th.

You can join hundreds of other volunteers in the area and reach out to local health and human service agencies, as well as parks and attractions. The United Way of Broome County is looking for civic-minded volunteers and volunteer groups from local businesses that want to share their time and talents. You can help all day or in the morning or afternoon.

Day of Caring volunteers will give the support that's needed to do projects that many non-profit organizations may not have the resources to do without their help. You can make a lasting change in our community and help them with their projects.

Projects include: Assisting with office clerical work, helping with gardening, painting and clean-up projects. The impact of the Day of Caring goes beyond this and lets the non-profit agencies know that we care and help them monetarily. They can use their funds for other projects that can directly help our local residents.
