On a United Health Services Facebook posting, UHS says it and Ascension Lourdes are working together to put together new hospital visitation policies and practices to submit to the New York State Department of Health.

Earlier this month the NYSDOH issued guidance to hospitals and group homes like those serving residents with developmental disabilities, to allow those facilities to allow limited visitation.  Some local group homes have already started to let visitors back in, following health procedures like temperature checks, health histories, the wearing of masks, limited number of people and time limits on visits.

UHS says more information on hospital visitations will be placed on the UHS and Lourdes public websites with additional details when the plans are approved.
