Two Workers Assaulted at Binghamton Car Dealership
Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]A Binghamton man has been accused of attacking two employees at a West Side automobile dealership and then illegally entering the business about eight hours later.
Authorities say the assault at Botnick Chevrolet at 179 Front Street occurred at about 5:50 p.m. August 24.
The two workers who were attacked sustained facial injuries.
Police later arrested a suspect in the incident. Detectives say 39-year-old Andre Jenkins was charged with third-degree assault and released.
Officers responding to an alarm from Botnick at around 2:30 a.m. August 25 discovered Jenkins inside the building.
Jenkins was charged with third-degree burglary and was arraigned in Binghamton City Court. He was sent to Broome County Jail without bail.
