Remembering and Honoring: Town of Binghamton Memorial Day Parade
The Town of Binghamton is gearing up to host its Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27. A time-honored tradition, the annual parade serves as a powerful reminder of the sacrifices made by countless individuals in service to their country.
The Town of Binghamton Memorial Day parade is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. It will set off from the Town of Binghamton Fire Department, Station #1, which is located on Hawleytown Road. The procession will travel down Saddlemire Road, ultimately ending at the cemetery.
For those wanting to participate in the parade, the lineup will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. If you have any questions about the parade or are looking for information about it, you can call Fire Chief Darin Lewis, who can be reached at 607-761-1218.
In a wonderful gesture to complement the parade, the Binghamton Township Historical Society will be opening the doors of its history museum at 923 Hawleyton Road from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. This presents a unique opportunity for the community to take a deeper look into the rich history of the Town of Binghamton.
The Memorial Day Parade and the opening of the historical museum provide a chance for the community to come together, honoring the past and paying tribute to the heroes whose courageous actions have shaped the present. This annual event shows the enduring spirit of unity and remembrance that continues to thrive within the heart of the Town of Binghamton.
