Randy Travis had not one, but two major health scares this week, stemming from a virus in the heart. I am just glad he seems to be on the road to recovery.

Countless people posted on social media praising him and thanking him for the great music he has given us. I thought I would pay tribute with 5 of our favorite videos of his songs.

Too often we honor people after they have passed. It's time to buck that trend and thank and honor Randy Travis now, as he recovers.

What's your favorite Randy Travis song?

    Forever and Ever Amen

This was one of the biggest wedding songs ever in the 90's. A classic through and through.

    On The Other Hand

This is Randy's first big hit and the one that got us hooked on his booming voice.

    I Told You So

In 1983, Travis, under the name Randy Ray, recorded this amazing song. In 1988, he scored a number one song with it from the album Always and Forever. People tend to forget that not only is Randy a talented singer, but he is a songwriter as well. He penned this classic.

    Amazing Grace

This is a gospel standard that most know and every Country singer has sung at some point. Randy Travis' version reminds us that though we sin, we should be forgiven.

    Three Wooden Crosses

Back in 2002, a phenomenon happened in Country music, God showed up everywhere. I remember being told there were "too many God songs". We didn't care, we played them and the fans loved it. I Believe from Diamond Rio, Long Black Train by Josh Turner and this one by Randy Travis all went number one. This still gives me chills. It was Travis' first big hit since 1994's Whisper My Name.
