Does Saturday, June 3rd, 2000 ring a bell? If you're a fan of Kenny Chesney or Tim McGraw, you probably remember this date well even if you don't know the exact day. The place was Buffalo, New York, the event was the George Strait Country Musical Festival featuring Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, Dixie Chicks, Mark Chesnutt, Lee Ann Womack, and more.

It's a day that I'll never forget because I had the chance to meet Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney. It's also a day that Tim and Kenny will remember but it had NOTHING to do with meeting me.

Tim McGraw and Kenny Chesney Arrested in Buffalo, NY

It was the day that they both got arrested when Chesney thought he had permission to get on a New York police's horse. Apparently, he did not, the police tried to get Kenny to stop, and then Tim and his manager got involved.

McGraw allegedly attacked a sheriff's deputy and everyone got arrested and they could have all got serious jail time. They were all acquitted on all charges the following May.

On that day, I meet Tim McGraw first and I was wearing one of his promotional T-shirts and he commented on it saying  "Wow, look at my mustache on that shirt." Later I meet Kenny and I'm sure he loved that I have my arm on his shoulder. I didn't know at the time that he was kind of a germaphobe. Sorry about that.

I've only worn that shirt once since that infamous day and it still has the meet and greet pass on the shirt with the date 6/3/2000 on it. I'm sure it's a day that Tim and Kenny want to forget but I know for me it's a day I'll always remember.
