Police say three teenagers have been arrested and a fourth suspect is being sought in connection with a Johnson City shooting.

Authorities say 17-year-old Tacoma Chapman of Johnson City, 18-year-old Jonathan Chapman of Johnson City and 18-year-old Caleb Casteline of Binghamton have been charged with second-degree attempted murder.

The suspects have been arraigned and are being held in Broome County Jail.

Police are still trying to find 20-year-old Spencer Chapman of Johnson City in connection with Tuesday night's incident on Grand Avenue.

Investigators say a group provoked an argument with a 37-year-old man who lives on Grand Avenue. The dispute turned into a physical fight. While the man was on the ground, the teenagers allegedly beat him and stabbed him several times in the back with a pocket knife. One of the teens then is believed to have shot the man before they ran from the scene.

The injured man was treated at Wilson Medical Center and released.

Detectives say one of the suspects, Jonathan Chapman, was accidentally shot in the leg by one of the others who attacked the man. Chapman was treated at Wilson and released.

Police say people who have information about Spencer Chapman's whereabouts may contact investigators at 607.729.9321.
