Things are happening at the Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park, this weekend is the family friendly Howloween with less boo and more zoo.

There'll be appearances from the Binghamton Police command RV and K-9 unit on Saturday, October 6th and a Teddy Bear Clinic on Sunday, October 7th. Rowdy the Rumble Pony and Devil Dawg will be making appearances during the event.

They are also happy to announce another Species Survival Plan birth. The Geoffroy's marmoset family welcomed a new addition on Thursday, September 27th. Maxine (mom), Clark (dad) and Finn (offspring) began calling the Binghamton Zoo their home in July from the Trevor Zoo.

Their home habitat are in the forests of southeastern Brazil and they live to be around 10 years. They are considered "Least Concern" but widespread destruction of their natural habitat is causing their population to decline.

The Geoffroy's marmoset family is on exhibit at the Wonders of Nature building so stop on by and try and spot the baby as it clings to one of the family members. The admissions booth is open from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day with the zoo closing at 4 p.m.

The 5th oldest zoo is located at 60 Morgan Road in Binghamton.
