The Best Holiday Dessert Is…..

This morning in the office here at 98.1 The Hawk we were treated to some holidays desserts. There was pumpkin pie, pecan pie, and some delicious butter cookies. This of course sparked a debate over the best holiday desserts. So naturally I need to give my opinion.

My favorite overall dessert in the world would have to be Death by Chocolate. This is basically giant bowl of different kind of chocolate delights mixed in with Cool Whip. It’s almost the perfect after dinner confection.

My favorite holiday specific dessert is Pecan Pie. Pecan Pie is so simple yet delicious. A whole bunch of molasses, a bunch of pecans, and a buttery crust. It just works so well.

When I was trying to rank my top holiday desserts I had a hard time finding a spot for Pumpkin Pie. Pumpkin Pie is a great and delicious dessert, but I cannot put it above things like Apple Pie, Cherry Pie, and homemade cookies. Pumpkin Pie quickly has slipped out of my top ten, and I apologize for that.

I would like the think I am well versed in the art of eating dessert. While we are on the topic of after dinner treats I must say my piece on Chocolate Lava Cakes. I think they are very overrated. If I wanted an under cooked, and messy cake in would just eat straight cake batter. Eating straight cake batter, however, is amazing.
