Tax Filing Deadline Is Here

Today is the Day! Today is the Day! Happy Delayed Income Tax Filing Deadline Day. Today is the day to pay the Tax Man...or try and get another extension. Are you in need of an extension? Did you know that 6% of us wait until the last minute to ask for an extension?

I find it ironic that a higher percentage (7%) of people actually ENJOY doing their taxes. They must live in California. I would include New York but I don't know ANYONE that enjoys paying taxes.

Will Rogers On Taxes and Crime

I like Will Rogers's idea about taxes. "We do not seem to be able to check crime, so why not legalize it and then tax it out of business." It seemed kind of funny back then but he may have just been ahead of his time. It sure feels like many of our politicians are legalizing crime and taxing us more but crime isn't going away and it's only getting worse.

I know that as an American, I'm happy to pay taxes and live in this awesome country but I would be just as happy paying half. If you need to file an extension, you have until 11:59 p.m.tonight.
