I've talked with a ton of Binghamton area country fans that make the trek to Hunter Mountain Resort over the weekend to see one or all three days of the Taste of Country Music Festival.  Just wrapping up its' 4th year, the music fest broke another attendance record with 53,000 fans over the three day music celebration.

The star-packed lineup for this year’s festival was headlined by Kenny Chesney, Jake Owen, and Kid Rock; and included Gary Allan, Big & Rich, Frankie Ballard, Eric Paslay, Old Dominion, Neal McCoy, The Swon Brothers, The Cadillac Three, Jana Kramer, Chris Janson, and others.

So how do you follow up on another stellar year?  You immediately begin working on next year's show.  In fact, half way through the festival they announced one of next year's headliner, Jason Aldean will headline one of the three days, already scheduled for June 9-11, 2017.

“The Taste of Country Music Festival has grown every year, and this year we’ve set an attendance record with 53,000 guests,” said Dhruv Prasad, one of the festival’s organizers. We quote him from the official press Taste of Country Music Festival press release.  “We continue to be grateful for the support we’ve gotten from the fans of our festival, as well as the artist community that continues to contribute to the growth of the event.”

“Thanks again to our hosts at Hunter Mountain, all of our great staff,
our sponsors, the State of New York, and the folks in Greene County for welcoming us again. We’re proud of the fact that our events generate nearly 15 million dollars of annual economic impact to the local area and community. We are already looking forward to producing another great experience in 2017, and are very excited to bring Jason Aldean to the Mountain!”
