As a kid who grew up pretty poor, this makes my heart swell with happiness. I remember the few times that someone slipped me a couple dollars so I could pick out a Christmas present for my mom. Sometimes it was a scarf, sometimes it was a bar of nice soap. Small gifts, really but it meant the world to be able to give something to her.

If you're looking to experience the excitement that a county fair has to offer, then you're  in for a treat with the Chenango County Fair!

When I think back to the many summers of my childhood, I think of sitting on top of the tallest metal slide, the heat stinging my legs and sun beating down on my back and not caring because sitting on my perch meant that I had a better view of the airplanes than the other kids.

This story breaks my heart not only for all the kids will be affected unless as a community we all step up and help but also because Toys for Tots is near and dear to my heart.
