The district has issued a notice to parents in the district and posted on its website (www.svsabers.org) that it is aware of the possible threat and is cooperating with the New York State Police and Broome County Sheriff’s office.

The statement says: “While we do not consider this a credible threat, we take any such report very seriously. The safety of your children is our number one priority. The individual student who made the alleged threat is being dealt with according to law and will not be in attendance in our buildings.”

The investigation is continuing.
