Susquehanna County Triple Homicide: 3 Found Dead in Great Bend Township

Pennsylvania State Police say Garrett Austin Johnson, 29, of Hallstead, is charged with three counts of criminal homicide in the deaths of three men found Monday evening inside a home on Baptist Hill Road in Great Bend Township.

Johnson also faces two counts of simple assault, one count of resisting arrest, and three counts of recklessly endangering another person. He is being held without bail at the Susquehanna County Prison, and a preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 20, according to WOLF.

State police identified the victims as Phillip Johnson of Hallstead; Frank Talarico Jr. of Binghamton; and Kevin Igo of Susquehanna, WOLF reports.

Pennsylvania State Police are investigating a triple homicide after three people were found dead inside a home on Baptist Hill Road in Great Bend Township, Susquehanna County. Troopers responded to the residence Monday evening, where they located the three deceased individuals inside the home.

Suspect Identified, Held Without Bail

Johnson was taken into custody a short distance from the residence, and investigators recovered the firearm believed to have been used in the killings. He was arraigned and denied bail.

Police Say There Is No Threat to the Public

Investigators emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public. Members of the Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Investigation Unit remain at the scene, processing evidence and conducting interviews. State police have not released a motive for the killings, and the investigation remains ongoing.
