A Pennsylvania dirt track that says it’s already been cited twice for flouting Governor Tom Wolf’s business shutdown was expected to draw hundreds or even thousands of people to its first auto races of the season Memorial Day weekend.

Penn Can Speedway in Susquehanna County planned to hold races on its dirt oval a few miles from the New York State line.

The facility website advertised the start of the 65th season with the Pappy Beaven Memorial 40 on May 22.

The track had postponed April planned events and had planned the first practice for May 1 and the opening on May 8th, which was later postponed to May 22.

According to the AP report, track promoter Gary Folk Junior said the business will fold without the immediate resumption of racing.
