We all know the importance of youth sports and that funding problems are something that virtually all sports programs face, including the Spencer Van-Etten Central Eagles Youth Football Program.

The Spencer Van-Etten Central Eagles Youth Football Program serves between 100 and 120 children every year from the ages of four to 12. The SVEC takes great pride in the achievements of their program and they should be because their teams have made playoffs with two league Super Bowl wins in 2018 in their 9/10 and 11/12 groups.

The commitment from players, coaches, and parents is there but the problem faced by the SVEC is the ability to meet the costs of operating and maintaining a quality program on a limited budget. What can you do to help? Glad you asked! You can be part of their Golf Tournament to help raise funds to cover the cost of the safety equipment the players require and in doing so will allow SEVEC to keep their registration costs low so any child can participate regardless of their financial status.

The Annual SVEC Youth Football Golf Tournament will take place on Saturday, May 18th and there are many ways that you can help as SVEC is not only looking for people to play, but they're also looking for hole sponsors and corporate sponsors.

Tee off will be at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 18th at the Catatonk Golf Course, 71 Golf Course Road in Candor. You can find more information about SVEC and the golf tourney here or by calling Cody Rose (607) 229-4089 or Kyle Beach (607) 280-7876.
