State Police Investigate “Incident” on Route 8 in Deposit

A portion of Route 8 in Deposit is back open and New York State Police say an incident January 29 that prompted the initial closure is resolved.

Authorities say they expect more information will be released January 30 concerning what drew troopers to the location between State Highway 29 and Michigan Hollow Road at around 4:30 p.m.

Officials have been tight-lipped about the police activity since being called to the scene, revealing nothing about the nature of the call or whether there was anyone injured.
